Production Supervisor - Injection Molding

Position Description:
The Production Supervisor position is a unique and challenging role. The Production Supervisor must possess a strong understanding of rubber compression and injection molding, assembly, material prep, insert prep and trimming operations. Primary responsibilities include scheduling and planning resources to be able to meet the customer shipping schedules. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for the molding, bladder molding, assembly, trimming, material prep, and insert prep operations. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for a staff of up to 50 hourly and non exempt employees on a production shift.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Leadership of the molding presses, insert prep, stock prep and trim departments, including the direct management of the employee's the hiring, policy enforcement, guidance and leadership
Build product per the material specifications of the router and drawing requirements to be compliant with all the customer requirements, mil-standards and industry standards
Lead the shift in Lean and Kaizen events towards achieving six sigma quality and best in class manufacturing costs
Recommend manufacturing and process changes for any of the molding processes that result in a quality or productivity improvement
Monthly inventory of all finished and in process goods
Monthly inventory of all compounded materials used in molding for expiration dates and dispose of expired materials appropriately
Requirements:
High School Graduate Required
Five to Ten years working in a process industry; metals, plastics or rubber products as a Supervisor in a highly engineered custom product
Able to communicate in English and Spanish
Compensation:
$55,000 - $65,000 Estimated Annual Salary
