Supply Chain Director

Position Description:
To provide leadership for direct and indirect spend for the business. Responsible for the successful management and enhancement of our global material's supply chain as required to deliver our Quality, Delivery, Cost, Inventory, and Innovation goals. Organize and direct the strategic initiatives and daily operations of our Strategic Sourcing, Production Scheduling, and Inventory Control processes. Establish a world-class supply chain/materials management organization.
Directly supervises employees in the Material Administration department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Provide leadership to our overall materials flow throughout the supply chain. This includes, but is not limited to planning, sourcing, purchasing, transportation/logistics, receiving, storage, internal material flow, shipment, and customer delivery.
Provide sourcing support to our Contracts and R&D department as we develop new product and/or cost new contracts.
Provide expertise in purchase contracts and PO terms and conditions to ensure that all purchasing deals are in accordance to our business guidelines and objectives.
Utilize internal processes, tools and techniques to identify, develop, and implement strategy, policy, processes, tools, metrics, action plans, bowlers, and countermeasures as required to deliver our inventory reduction, purchase price variance (PPV), and On-Time-Delivery Supply Chain PD objectives.
Lead our scheduling process to ensure our shipment targets and On-Time-Delivery objectives are met.
Direct Reports Include: APD Procurement Leader, Commodity Managers, Buyers, Master Scheduler, Purchasing Assistant.
External relationships exist with suppliers, limited interface with customers.
Requirements:
BS/BA degree in related field.
8-10 years material management and procurement experience in a multifunctional manufacturing environment. Aerospace experience a plus.
Working knowledge of and advanced training in TQM / JIT and lean manufacturing concepts and techniques.
Basic understanding of manufacturing techniques (such as machining, casting, molding, sheet-metal fabrication and stampings).
Compensation:
$130,000 - $145,000 Estimated Annual Salary plus 10% bonus.
