Value Stream Manager

Position Description:
The Value Stream Manager will provide oversight, management, and leadership of the manufacturing activities/operations of an entire area or product groups within their value stream and drive continual improvement. The Value Stream Manager must understand functional departments that impact the work done and influence those departments to improve the value stream from suppliers of raw material to customers of finished product. The Value Stream Manager will provide technical knowledge and support of other departments to ensure effective and economical processes to produce quality products in accordance with all company objectives.
Lead implementation and ongoing improvement of systems for planning and people development
Exercises direct supervision over shift leaders with respect to production volume, cost and quality of production - meeting production schedules and delivery goals
Responsible for leading continuous improvement in elements of cost structure within their value stream
Manage flow of materials from their value stream to finished good transformation
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience, with 3-5 years of demonstrated supervisory or managerial experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge and background in manufacturing concepts such as Lean, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, ISO 9000, etc.
Proven track record in implementing, leading, and managing lean/six sigma concepts and strategies including supermarkets, kanban, and hijunka systems
Exposure to other supporting information technologies such as conveyor/sortation control systems, bar coding and production scheduling is a plus
Experience working with employees to help drive significant improvements in business performance
Compensation:
$90,000 - $110,000 Estimated Annual Salary plus 7% bonus
